We've been in your shoes

THRIVE, NOT SURVIVE

We aren’t going to lie – when we both arrived in Belgium it was HARD.

That means that expats are often left to fend for themselves, to figure everything out alone.

Sure, you can ask new acquaintances a few questions here and there, but ask too many and that new friend is going to start avoiding picking up your calls. Trust us, we’ve both been the annoying new person constantly asking questions. It feels terrible, knowing how dependant you are on strangers for basic knowledge.

We will help you get both feet on the ground here, fast. So you can be up and running and enjoying your new life ASAP, not spending your days figuring out mundanities.

About KirstIn

Kirstin is an American who has lived as an expat in France and in Belgium. In previous versions of this life she worked in the music industry, organising Stars by day and socialising with them by night. She is also a Pilates Instructor and has a wait-list of people wanting to become one of her rather exclusive clients.

She loves – and we can not stress this enough – organising people, and is a maven at just getting things done!

Kirstin is a cheerleader for amazing, ambitious women. Supporting other women to achieve their personal goals gives her a kick.

She loves her husband, her teenage daughter and her Labradoodle, Murphy, to the moon and back. (And has plenty of great tips for those with pets in Belgium too!)

About Lucy

Lucy is an Australian, married to a fabulous Frenchman, with 3 children who were each been born in a different country along her expat journey. They are 13, 10 & 8.

She left Australia 21 years ago and has since lived in France, Singapore, Indonesia and now Belgium. Surprisingly, her moves to France and to Belgium were the hardest moves, despite the fact that she speaks French fluently and can even give ‘French attitude’ when necessary.

Lucy turned 40 a couple of years ago and is enjoying life more than ever. She’s keen to try most things twice – once to see if she likes it or not, twice to be sure. Except offal. She never wants to try that. She’s a bit of an all or nothing person, therefore most likely to be found either out training for a half marathon… or lazing around reading her third book for this week. She is a Gemologist and Diamond Grader by profession, an admin nerd, and likes to think of herself as a semi-professional dumpling & massage tester too.
